Webinar: Difficult Conversations at Work
We asked GIIP/Everett alumni a few months ago what kind of discussions they’d find most helpful in a webinar setting. The number one request was one that would help us make sense of certain social dynamics in their emerging careers and workplaces.
The transition into working life is jarring to say the least — and many of us find ourselves overwhelmed, and without a compass or guide. We can’t be there for each other at work, but we can create spaces to build each other up!
For the Everett Alumni Webinar in February, we invite you to come learn how to be a better self advocate in the workplace and share your experiences and strategies with the group.
Topics of discussion include:
- Fighting imposter syndrome: You belong where you want to be — you’ve worked hard for it — don’t let your college major tell you otherwise.
- Dealing with work dissatisfaction: Communicating responsibly instead of letting it stew.
- Knowing when to pivot: Weighing the pros and cons of staying or going on your career path.
- Dealing with inappropriate situations: Staying safe and making a paper trail, and navigating your human resources department
